Fig 1 is a piece named doodles and is featured as a gif, I really liked this because of the randomness of the doodles. Doodling is something I find myself doing regularly without meaning and create the strangest things. Fig 2 is a very interesting way to approach kids clothing I think and fig 3 shows great use of type for a album cover something which relates to my secret 7 project as I was trying to find interesting ways to Fuck trevor. Fig 4 is work with itv an example of illustration being used in an identity.

Matt the horse Is another illustrator I have been looking at, In our screen printing induction it was his work that we printed (Fig 1). He is a illustration tutor at lca. I really enjoy the colours within his pieces. and the scales of heads.

East London based illustrator and designer Josh McKenna takes inspiration from the tropical way of life. Minimal in design often using asymmetric layouts, seductive curves, squiggles and vibrant tropical inspired colours taken from the past.
All these illustrators seem to have shops selling screen prints this is defiantly a relatively new thing to me which I didn't even consider when begin graphic design. However I love the whole process of creating something which you then make practically. This is something I defiantly wish to improve throughout my studies.
M&C Saatchi London, for Converse UK to produce 2 illustrations for the new advertising campaign for the highly anticipated and recently released Chuck II trainer. These posters are in place at various locations around London including Shoreditch, Brixton and Peckham.
This was a project for a converse and shows how illustration can be used within branding.
