OUGD403 Study Task - Collaborative Branding (Mike Pro)

So here I looked into the companies inspirations and whats new. There newest range is called Mike Pro which produces bathrooms using  "elegant styles with subtle appeal". I looked at there Products and wondered which aspects of it i could use for my influence. I liked how the tap looked very similar to a r, to incorporate this into our design we decided to try it within the logo and use the final r of Crosswater to represent this. Also as we could only use the vignellies fonts we made the droplet from helvetica.

Further Development with inspiration coming from the Taps and connotations the brand has to water.

our group decided to go away and each make 5 quick logos using our mind map and initial ideas as our direction, then come back and present to the group. These where my five.

After reviewing these fonts I decided to develop helvetica light as I felt this fitted the brand best as they describe themselves as elegant and luxurious both of which I think helvetica light perceive.
In addition to this I really liked the digital dials they have introduced as this is a company which is very up to date on technology, I Felt incorporating this into the design and making it a key part of there marketing would be worth while and say something big about the brand quite subtly. I also curved the font to resemble pipes.

           Colours

We took many colours from there website as the basic's for our colour wheel, we decided to keep to softer colours such as light greys and blues. I felt grey fitted in well because its a similar colour to stainless steal and is very subtle, as many of there products are made from these materials.
Finished Logo's we went for these set of logos as we felt the subtley of it suited the brands luxury and elegance, id say its very subtle as it is all in lower case, the use of pale colours also contributes to its subtly. We picked these colours to represent stainless steel the main material used by this company.
