For study task we was looking at type setting and how It can portray different meaning when used in certain ways the two examples here was modernism and postmodernism and the using this to create concrete poems. For my modernism example I set the title double the point size of the texts its self, I took this from vignellis canon where we follows rules of modernism. The font is also set to read left to right using ... type setting, as this is the most practical and informative way to present information as our eye reads left to right. I shifted words down to create a smooth edge which helps the eye and keeps the poem neat. The type face used was helvetica regular and bold.
For my postmodern type setting I shaped the font is the style of cheese as this relates to the mouse and helps create a fast picture of what the poem is about just but the type setting. The first half of the type is set using outlines to show shadow within the cheese. The placement of type is different throughout to create this image something which is not seen within a modernist approach. Information within this is not presented swell yet it could be argued in this instance it portrays the information in a more ideal, clever and fun way.
