Study task 7 - Folds

This is a paper specimen by afpaper for naurais works. This is great stock it is used to showcase hand crafted violins, the use of white space about the images shows the luxury of the product thus linking to the paper itself as a luxury product should be presented on a luxury stock. It is in a green - grey tint, adding to that timeless feel of the product. The binding used is standard but with subtle differences such as smaller sections inside  using diffrent types of the naurais works stock e.g gloss etc. Overall I thought this was a great specimen and used a nice variety of methods.

This really stood out to me because it showed how a fold can be used to portray a story through a sequence of squares. I though it was a good way to show how different folds can be used for many different reasons.

I started with a maze map fold with the idea that this could be used to display 10 different design principle in relation to studio brief 1. It worked well because it fitted together without loss bulgy parts, However larger paper would be needed to achieve a well radioed piece.

This was in relation to a leaflet which could be handed out for my way finding project, with a map inside and a key on the geometric corners. It was a fairly simple fold the angles did make it slightly difficult.

The T cross mailer is another fold which could be used within my wayfinding project by folding it at certain points it can be created to the size of a card, This can hold information about the centre and be posted to people within the area.
