OUGD406 - Study Task 1 - Obvious and Ambiguous

For this study task we had to create two versions of a chosen track from last years secret 7 competition. I went with The Maccabees - Go. For my First example of obvious I used typography, I wrote go in helvetica and then slightly slanted the tail on the g to look like an arrow. It is in Hex 61bb46 which is supposedly the green they use for traffic lights. My ambiguous cover used traffic lights with each colour glowing, they are in beams of light. This still has slight connotations to go however less so. The colours are to represent the sound waves within a light version. As if the traffic lights are playing music with colour. My final Obvious cover is simply a green traffic light to resemble go, this links in with my ambiguous design as well as resembling the song clearly
