Vigneli canon
To start my research I felt I needed to grasp better understanding of design principles as a whole. We done this through a range of study task and independent research. One way I research this myself was through reading the vignelli cannon, This gave me a basic understanding of what design principles are and why they should be followed. It gave me a rough guide to also stick to while producing both publications. The main pricicples I took on board was grids, type, scale, type size relationship and white space. Throughout my publications these where the rules I tried to stick to the most. One which really caught my eye was grids as using a grid was new to me and something I wanted to learn in order to apply to work. Grids are useful because it helps keep consistency throughout, this keeps information tidy and increases readability it also helps to create constant good work efficiently. The grids also help give readers an idea of what is most important within the page. It also saves me alot of time when it comes to layout as the grids are already in place
