After talking with ed and a few others about my dark room piece, I rethought about what I was aiming to achieve and how I could focus the concept more. So to begin with I scrapped the collage idea because I felt that a photograph is taken in one shot, So my poster should also be taken in one shot not a mix match of shots. Secondly after ed recommended focusing on one component of the bike I decided to go for the nuts and bolts. As these are what hold the bicycle together there can also represent everyday people as everyday people are the ones who hold our society and economy together. It is a representation of 'the bicycle as a democratic machie'. I then shook the paper to create movement within the image because of a bikes movement and used rounded text to signify wheels. Overall the use of movement helps creating a harmonising composition with each piece having its own unique depth, this balances out the entire pieces.
Feedback -
Poster 1 communicates better and is more understandable however poster 2 creates a much more subtle yet intriguing feeling which makes you want to look closely at it. Fav: poster 1- thea
Poster 2 uses white space much better. overall composition is much more subtle than previous which works better for this as they look much more like posters. Fav: poster 2 - edd
