For my table of content and page numbering I wanted to use a symbols to represent the four elements. and this can be used as quick references when on pages to what the section revolves around. I also wanted the table of content to be a similar lay out to page numbering, this would add a subtle piece of consistency. I decided to use white space for this section as I felt the black did not contrast well along my image. I also have used white space throughout my publication so this keeps to constancy. As well as this I layed them out in the shape of a square to give further connotations to the four corners of the world.
