Screen printing my final design

Today I screen printed my currency notes, I was nervous to start to begin because it was all still quite new but the staff where extremely helpful and once I got into it I manage to pick it up after some help, It is now something I would definitely like to use again in my process. There is something very rewarding about printing it right. One thing I really enjoyed but also slightly struggled was creating the colours they didn't turn out how I had imaged them but they wasn't a complete fail which was a positive. I started off on the wooded boards to hold the screen but then move onto the vacuum benches I found the vacuum benches much easier to use and they produced much more constant work. On the whole I wasn't actually very happy with my final piece and if I have time would like to burn a new screen and give it another go. The reason for this is because I originally had planed to leave my -100 off of the screen and print it in metallic silver or gold on the letter press, and I accidentally forgot to take it off the print when I burnt the screen. I feel like this is what is missing from my piece. However I think Im now going to try add some kind of hologram or something through letter press. Other than that I managed to experiment with a a lot of different coloured stock which was a positive. I was slightly disappointed with the colour of my pink which came out more like a red. I would also of maybe liked to do the type a separate colour.
