OUGD406 - Study Brief 2 - Rounding down on Money - Development

The basic premise for this bank note was like a fuck you you owe use money, or a oh fuck I owe money. It's not meant to be a complete dig at banks but more of a statement of how easy it is to get into debt and owe money. I think this is quite relavant, the over draft is a issue in many student over Easter talking to friends so many of them are so far into there overdrafts they only get out of it when they get another loan. So the note can also work as a kind of even though I have 100 I don't really because It's not my money I'm spending. Bank of drafts is just another way of saying loans really and I'm using this to relate the money back to the over draft. I thought of writing things such say "don't forget yoo debt" and "it's payday, oh fuck" but i began to worry it is becoming less and less of a bank note so used "bank of drafts" instead. Y-o-u stands for you owe us but can also work in conjunction with the image as a "fuck y-o-u". My reasoning for the dots and waves came from feedback which suggested some kind of pattern to look more like a bank note. It can also be kinda seen as a snakes and ladders minus the ladders representing the struggle to get out of dept. The small %5728 is a small dig at payday loan company's who use rediculous interest rates which I found through research. But can also work as kinda bank note code which a lot of them have on, a security code. The -100 is planned to be letter pressed and the rest will be screen printed
