Here is my publication so far. I will explain a few techniques I have purposely used throughout. To begin each page has a slight insight to the element or cooking technique Each of these use a colour which in some way represents that element aswell as all being a title then paragraph of text. They are also all centred and use aligned centre. I have used a mix of type alignment through as well as a mix of two fonts although I have used them within patterns through, This was informed through The gourmet who use this technique. It created a interesting contrast through the publication. I also shaped the publication slightly square although with a height still slightly longer than width. This was informed through delayed gratification. It also fits into my publication well used to the shape of many of my images which are in a Rhortizaltal rectangle. I have also tried to used diffrent ways of laying out type when not used within my opening paragraph for the element. For example an explanation of pot cooking used two collums to. and a explanation the yuca being chewed is used as small paragraphs to create a series. I used a 4 by 4 grid as I feel this fits my book shape while keeping it simple. Stocks I will be using within this will also change throughout a mix of both glossy and matt.
